Cocoon Collection - Sculpture 1
This piece explores the cocoon as a form of understated strength - a vessel that holds something while it transforms, protected until it’s ready to emerge. We often focus on what comes out, but the cocoon itself carries the story. This sculpture honours that overlooked beauty: the architecture of patience, the protection that makes change possible.
The rim opens in layered segments, like a boundary slowly giving way. Up close, the surface holds a landscape of small shifts and transitions - a record of pressure, timing, and flow. It’s a sculptural vessel intended to live as a focal object, bringing a sense of nature’s slow intelligence into the room.
