This piece feels like an important step towards a much larger vision for my work.
I’ve been gradually pushing the scale of these forms, exploring how the same design language can retain its character as the pieces become larger, more physical and more present within a space. The challenge is not simply to make them bigger, but to preserve the refinement and sense of organic growth that defines them.
That is where I see this body of work heading: larger ceramic sculptures with real presence, where entire colonies of fungi can spread across the surface, growing around and eventually overwhelming the original form.
What I particularly love about this piece is the tension between those two worlds. The central form is still very simple and refined, but the growth is beginning to interrupt its silhouette, wrapping around the base and climbing upwards across the surface.
There is still enough of the original vase left untouched to understand what it once was -but enough has been overtaken to imagine what it might eventually become.

Each tool is made to a high standard and carefully checked before dispatch. If your order arrives damaged, incorrect, or with a genuine defect, I’ll make it right with a replacement or refund.
Change-of-mind returns are not accepted unless you’re an EU buyer. EU buyers have a 14-day right to return eligible purchases for change of mind under consumer law.
