Personalised guidance. Faster progress. Learn exactly what you need.

Whether you’re struggling with one frustrating problem or you’re ready to take your work to the next level, these sessions are designed around one thing: helping you progress faster by focusing entirely on your needs. Together, we’ll identify where you’re getting stuck, why it’s happening and, most importantly, how to move forward with confidence.

There is no fixed syllabus or set lesson plan. Before the session, we’ll discuss your experience, goals and the areas you’d like to improve, allowing us to create a session that’s completely focused on helping you make meaningful progress.

Together we can work on:

  • Throwing with greater control, confidence and consistency
  • Refining your hand positions, body mechanics and posture
  • Mastering specific forms, from bowls and vases to more complex shapes
  • Trimming and refining your work to create cleaner, more elegant pieces
  • Throwing larger forms and learning sectional throwing techniques
  • Diagnosing recurring problems and learning how to correct them
  • Improving design, proportion and creating more refined, balanced forms
  • Developing your own artistic style and creative direction
  • Building a repeatable process that supports long-term progress

Whether you need help solving a single challenge or you’re looking for ongoing mentorship, every session is designed to give you practical solutions, a deeper understanding of your making process and the confidence to continue progressing long after the session has finished.
