Trimming tool No.1

Trim faster. Trim wetter. Work with less effort.

The Trimming Tool No.1 is designed to make removing and refining clay faster, easier and more controlled - particularly when working with medium and larger forms.

At its heart is an exceptionally sharp tungsten carbide cutting head, with microscopic teeth that glide through clay with remarkably little resistance. This allows you to remove material efficiently without needing to apply excessive pressure.

Its broad 4cm wide cutting edge also covers considerably more surface area than a conventional small trimming tool, making quick work of larger pieces while still giving you the control needed for clean and refined trimming.

Designed to trim wetter clay

Trimming Tool No.1 is specifically designed to be used on clay at the wetter side of leather hard.

Its razor-sharp, micro-toothed edge cuts cleanly through softer clay with very little resistance, allowing you to begin trimming much earlier in the making process.

This means you can often throw a piece, allow it to firm up sufficiently, and trim it while it’s still attached to the wheel - removing the need to take it off, wait for it to dry further, then re-centre and secure it again later.

Less waiting. Less handling. Less work.

Built for years of use

The tungsten carbide edge is extremely hard and retains its sharpness for an exceptionally long time, while the stainless-steel body is designed for regular studio use.

Each tool arrives in its own protective box to keep the razor-sharp cutting edge safe between uses.

A sharper edge. A faster process. A smarter way to trim.
